Local Lettings Policy
A Local Lettings Policy is used by the Association when managing stock in a village where there is not a Section 106 agreement stipulating local connection. By ensuring that our allocations are made in line with a LLP the Association ensures that local homes are only provided to local people.
An example of our generic LLP is as follows:-
- Resides in the Parish and has done so for the last 12 months
- Was born in the village and resident for a minimum of 12 months
- Has resided in the Parish for at least 12 months in the last five years
- Is employed in the Parish or who has a firm offer of employment there
- Gives/receives support to/from a relative who resides in the Parish
- You have immediate family living in the village i.e parents, brother, sister or children
Please note that this is not an exhaustive list. The LLP can vary between parishes.
