We aim to help provide and manage homes throughout rural Peak District for those in housing need who wish to live in the communities where they have grown up, work or have close family ties.
We do this in two ways: by promoting the development of affordable housing for local people, and carefully managing the homes to ensure that they benefit tenants and villages alike.
We actively promote affordable housing projects, mostly on ‘exception sites', sites on the edge of villages that can only be used for affordable housing for local people. Although we do not directly develop homes, we help by:
