Q: Can you tell us a bit about where you were living before moving?

"Before moving here I was living in an old terraced house. I was renting from a private landlord, there was no parking and only had a tiny concrete garden.

"It was damp, cold and mouldy. It only had single glazing and the roof was falling apart.

"It was dark and wasn't very nice to live in at all"

Q: What's your local connection to Tansley?

"I Used to live in Tansley and my grandparents are in the village.

"I'm so happy my daughter will grow up in the village."

Q: How did you feel when you got the keys?

"I felt relieved as soon as I got the keys to our new home.

"Just being able to walk in and everywhere be light and warm feels amazing.

"That's all I wanted for me and my daughter - to live in a warm, dry house that's free of mould."

Q: Have you felt a difference in daily life since moving in?

"I've felt loads happier since moving in.

"I just feel more at peace day to day. I'm not stressing about paying high energy bills anymore because this house has such good insulation.

"My new home is secure and warm."

Q: Is there anything the team did well that made moving in an easier process?

"Everyone at Peak District Rural Housing Association has been supportive. They have given me information about tenancy support services.
