A terrace of four affordable homes to rent for local people on a rural exception site, designed to reflect its location in the Peak District National Park.

About the homes
There are four homes for affordable rent:
  • Three 2-bedroom homes
  • One 3-bedroom home
Sensitive to local surroundings
The homes were designed to blend in with the local area. They  are built using:
  • local limestone
  • coursed rubble stones
  • timber windows
  • slate roofs
  • gable depths similar to typical cottages in the area.
Tackling fuel poverty
The homes are built to help keep residents' energy costs low with:
  • air source heat pumps
  • log burning stoves, to ensure heating is available throughout the winter in this remote rural area.
