Your home - your voice

We want to ensure that residents are at the heart of everything we do. The best way to do this is by involving you as an expert. You know more about living in your home and community than we do.

Getting involved won’t take up much time, and there’s no commitment to regular meetings.

Why get involved

By getting involved in our work, you can help to make homes and services better for all residents.

Anyone can get involved

Anyone who lives in a PDRHA home is welcome to get involved.

So, if you’re renting, a shared owner, young, older, working, not working, retired, single, in a couple, in a family, living in a house, a flat, a maisonette or a bungalow, have a dog, have a cat, have no pets…we’d love for you to get involved.

How much time it takes
  • As much or little as you like
  • No regular commitment
  • Just take part in what you’re interested in, when you want to

Ways to be involved

Whatever your interests, there’s a way for you to influence change. Here are some of the ways you can make a difference.
Shape our service from the comfort of your own home.

You’ll receive a new or updated policy/strategy draft by email, with a link to a short online survey. You’ll need to read through the draft document and then answer the survey questions to give us your feedback on what works and what needs improving.

Tell us what you think from the comfort of your own home.

This could be a survey asking for your feedback on garden maintenance, repairs priorities or on ideas for improving newsletters.

These are normally short surveys, taking less than ten minutes.

We can also send surveys as paper copies if you prefer.

This takes place at our office in Coalville.

When it’s time to select new contractors – for work like day-to-day repairs or gas servicing – we invite residents to get involved.

Scrutiny projects take place at our office in Coalville.

Get involved in reviewing our services, investigate how we operate and provide recommendations for improvements.

These groups work online or from our office in Coalville.

Join short-term projects to investigate specific issues and help us refine and improve services.

You’ll be reimbursed for any out-of-pocket expenses for attending meetings or participating in events.
