What we do

Our work always begins by engaging with local people

Working with the local community is at the heart of what we do. Before anything else happens we visit the parish council or another group of local interested people to discuss housing problems and help raise awareness of possible solutions.

Understanding local housing needs

The local authorities (District or Borough Councils) have a statutory duty to investigate the need for affordable housing in every village and town within their area. PDRHA or the local Parish Council can instigate a survey.

If a housing need is found in a village then we will work with the parish council, local authority and other key partners to look at ways to meet the need. As any future developments are an asset to the whole village we want to involve the community in the process as much as possible.
