Homes must be built in the right location for the scheme to be an asset to the village
We work with rural landowners to bring forward suitable sites for the development of local needs housing.
Our schemes have been developed with landowner partners including farmers, estates and builders as well as parish, district and county councils.
Rural exception sites
Affordable housing in rural areas is generally built on an ‘exception’ site. This is land which would not normally be granted planning permission but it is granted on the condition that the homes built are forever for people with a local connection and can never be sold on the open market. Such sites have to be acceptable in other planning terms such as having safe access.
If you have a piece of land that you feel would suit affordable housing please do not hesitate to contact either your local authority or PDRHA directly.
